Give help

It’s great that you want to help us and there are so many ways you can!

Donate Money

Although up until now we have been able to rely on food donations to make up our parcels the demands on the Foodbank are increasing. We sometimes need to replenish our stocks, buy strong lifelong bags or need help towards running costs.
To make a voluntary donation go to our Donate Page

Donate Food

We rely on food donations to enable us to make up parcels that are as nutritionally balanced as possible. Every donation of tinned or long-life food is valuable, but we are always in need of UHT or powdered milk.  The Shopping List page, will give you an idea of the items we are looking for.  We have various Collection Points around Carlisle for easy delivery.

Want to Volunteer your time?

We need people to welcome and chat to our clients and make up food parcels and much more. To find out more about the various roles we have go to Become a Volunteer page.  If you can commit to being at the Foodbank Contact Us or complete the volunteer application form and return it to the address given.  Alternatively email: to ask for an application form or write to The Manager, Carlisle Foodbank, The Courts

Could you host a food collection?

Are you a community group, school, church, supermarket or business in the area?  If so would you be prepared to receive donations of food from our shopping list from the public or your staff?   We can arrange to collect it from your premises or you could deliver it to the Foodbank during our opening times.  We already have some great volunteers who offer their premises to host a collection point.  Supermarkets in the area also have drop off bins where customers in-store can leave their purchased items.  If you can help in this way please contact our Manager at

We are happy to arrange visits to schools or groups to talk about the work Carlisle Foodbank undertakes in the City
